Job Overview: Family Practitioner (Aspire Community Support & Assessment)
An intensive, home-based support role delivering practical and therapeutic interventions to vulnerable families, guiding parents, and working with social workers to inform parenting assessments across the South West.
Pay, Hours & Perks
- Salary: £26,325 per annum (pro rata for part-time).
- Hours: Contracts available for 65, 130, or 162.5 hours per month (Full-time & Part-time). Requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
- Location: Exeter, Plymouth, and across the South West (Devon & surrounding areas).
- Perks: Paid travel time + mileage, overnight disruption allowance, funded training (Solihull Approach, Paediatric First Aid), company sick pay, EAP, and 28 days holiday (pro rata).
- Closing Date: 19 August 2026 (Induction starts 14 September 2026).
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted, practical support to parents and children in their homes during crises or long-term challenges.
- Work alongside social workers to inform official parenting assessments using evidence-based tools.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and contribute to support planning/outcome reviews.
Key Requirements
- Experience supporting children and families to drive positive change.
- Full UK Driving Licence + vehicle (with appropriate insurance) and willingness to travel regionally.
- Strong written communication and IT skills for report writing.
- (Desirable: Level 3+ qualification in Care/Psychology/Education, mental health experience, or training in Solihull/Incredible Years).
