Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for a Social Worker – Children with Disabilities (CWD) to join a dedicated Children with Disabilities Team in Bradford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Social Worker to support children and young people with complex needs and disabilities, ensuring they receive the right care, support, and opportunities to thrive. You'll work within a supportive service committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities and complex needs
- Complete statutory assessments, care planning, reviews, and direct work with children and families
- Undertake Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children responsibilities where appropriate
- Develop and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) alongside partner agencies where required
- Work collaboratively with health professionals, education providers, and other partner organisations to deliver coordinated support
- Assess risk, safeguard children, and promote positive outcomes through effective intervention
- Maintain accurate case records, reports, and statutory documentation
- Attend multi-agency meetings, strategy discussions, and court proceedings where necessary
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
- Registration with Social Work England
- Experience working within Children's Social Care
- Knowledge of legislation relating to children with disabilities, safeguarding, and child protection
- Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies
