Bilton Grange is a happy, flourishing and successful Prep School set in 90 acres of beautiful grounds just south of Rugby. In 2020 it merged with Rugby School and is now part of the Rugby Schools Group. Pupil numbers have never been higher. There are currently over 380 boys and girls in the school, boarding and day, aged between 3 and 13 and the school’s distinguished history is continuing to evolve. In August 2022 we opened Little Grange Nursery, placing a further 80 children under our watchful care and guidance. We have built a brand-new boarding house as a sign of our ambition and boldness. The current Head has been in post since September 2021 and in March 2022 we were successful in our ISI Compliance Inspection.
The role will be reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across our extensive site. Reactive maintenance will consist of maintenance tasks involving basic plumbing, carpentry and general handyman tasks. PPM will include, but not limited to; Tap temperature checks, weekly fire alarm testing, fire door closer checks, utility meter reading, emergency lighting checks, Ladder inspections, plant room inspections etc. Also, there will be a need to help maintain the swimming pool plant equipment and carry out regular testing. Training will be provided for this.
A great deal of time will be spent utilising the schools’ maintenance system via an iPad. This will involve managing reactive and PPM tasks through to completion, uploading certification and adhering to the SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) for us to maintain compliance in all areas. The successful candidate must have a good understanding of the importance of carrying out planned maintenance. This role is for 39 hour per week, 52 weeks a year and the salary is £27,364.00.
