Job Description:
Justteachers are looking for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant for our partner Special Education Needs (SEN) school in Stockport. The successful candidate will join a supportive team in a well-facilitated, welcoming SEN school, working with both primary and secondary students with complex needs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to transition from working with adults to children in an educational setting, within a warm and inclusive community-focused school. The school offers a path for progression and the opportunity of a full-time contract.
Position: Special Needs Support Assistant

Daily Rate: £83.39-90 a day
Working Hours: 08:30am – 15:30pm, Monday to Friday
Requirements:
- Experience working with adults or children with complex or SEN needs within the last two years, preferably in a care home, healthcare, residential care setting, SEN/SEMH school, or PRU.
- Dedication to the development and learning of students with SEN, with a desire to make a positive impact.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, essential for working effectively within a professional environment.
- Ability to establish rapport with students and demonstrate empathy towards their challenges and behaviors.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with SEN in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and fellow staff members to ensure the best possible learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and motivations.
- Support the ethos of the school and contribute to its inclusive and supportive atmosphere.
