BRC are currently recruiting for a Night Support Worker to join a supportive and dedicated team within a supported housing service, for clients aged 16 to 24 in Swansea.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in maintaining a calm and supportive environment overnight, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents throughout the night.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the safety and security of the building and residents overnight
- Carrying out regular welfare and property checks
- Responding appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and safeguarding concerns
- Providing emotional support and reassurance to young people when needed
- Maintaining accurate records and completing nightly reports
- Supporting residents in line with their individual support plans
- Working collaboratively with the daytime team to ensure continuity of care
Experience
- Extensive experience supporting young people aged 16 to 24 within a supported accommodation setting
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations
- Compassionate, professional, and non judgemental approach
- Strong communication and written skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- Valid Enhanced DBS
