We are hiring a dynamic and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our team at WindAnSea in St Ives.
Part of the Married to the Sea brand, WindAnSea first opened its doors in 1975. Our journey has always remained connected to the sea. Whether you are chasing surf or simply making the most of life by the coast, we have everything you need for beach days, surf sessions and coastal adventures.
The ideal candidate will be organised, confident when communicating and eager to develop their skills within a busy, vibrant retail environment.
This is a fast-paced role, so previous retail and customer service experience is essential. Knowledge of wetsuits and surf equipment is preferred, but not essential.
Responsibilities include:
Customer engagement and service
Restocking and organising the shop floor
Assisting with surfboard and wetsuit hire
Helping customers choose surfboards, wetsuits and equipment
Processing online orders
Visual merchandising and stock presentation
Keeping the store clean, tidy and well presented
Operating our POS system and serving customers
What we are looking for:
Friendly and confident when speaking with customers
Reliable and punctual
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Previous retail and customer service experience
Knowledge of wetsuits and surf equipment is preferred, but not essential
Hours:
Full time, five days per week
10am to 6pm
Days are split across the week, including weekends
No late evenings required
