About Lux Woodburners
Lux Woodburners Ltd is a HETAS-approved supplier and installer of wood-burning, multi-fuel and gas stoves, based in Essex with showrooms in Leigh-on-Sea (Essex) and Orpington (Kent & London). We supply and install a full range of stoves — wood-burning, multi-fuel, inset, freestanding and gas — along with hearths, beams, chambers and surrounds, backed by a 5-year warranty and £2m liability cover. We cover Southend, Leigh-on-Sea, Chelmsford, Bromley, Orpington, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas.
Following recent growth — including the opening of our new Kent showroom — we're looking for an experienced, HETAS-certified stove fitter to join our installation team.
The Role
As our Stove Fitter / Installation Engineer, you'll carry out professional installations of wood-burning, multi-fuel, inset, freestanding and gas stoves for customers across Essex, Kent and South East London, including associated works such as hearths, flue systems, chambers and surrounds. You'll be working directly with customers in their homes, so a professional, tidy and customer-focused approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Install wood-burning, multi-fuel, inset, freestanding and gas stoves to HETAS standards and current building regulations
- Fit associated hearths, flue liners/twin-wall flue systems, chambers and surrounds
- Carry out site surveys ahead of installation where required
- Liaise directly and professionally with customers throughout the job
- Ensure all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and fully certified
- Work closely with the showroom and office team to keep to installation schedules
- Occasionally support with servicing, chimney sweeps or maintenance callouts
What We're Looking For
- HETAS certification (essential)
- Approximately 5 years' hands-on experience installing wood-burning, multi-fuel and/or gas stoves
- Strong working knowledge of flue systems and current building regulations
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage your own installation schedule
- Excellent attention to detail and a professional, customer-facing manner
- A team player who takes pride in their work
