RTR Group is a well established Building and Property Services company operating across Essex, Kent and throughout the UK. We are looking for an organised, proactive and motivated Maintenance Coordinator to join our growing Maintenance Team.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a maintenance, property, facilities management or similar environment who is looking to build on their existing knowledge and develop their career further within the business.
The successful candidate will play an important role in coordinating day-to-day maintenance operations, liaising with clients, tenants, landlords, engineers and subcontractors, and ensuring jobs progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.
This is a fast paced role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, takes ownership of their work and is keen to learn. You will work closely with Managers, Senior Maintenance Coordinators and Schedulers, with the opportunity to develop your skills, take on additional responsibility and progress within the Maintenance Team.

Key Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, tenants, landlords, engineers and subcontractors.
- Monitor the progress of maintenance jobs and keep clients updated throughout the process.
- Liaise with engineers to gather information, photographs and reports required to generate accurate quotations for clients.
- Process and manage jobs using the company’s dedicated maintenance platforms.
- Prepare, submit and follow up quotations and tenders, and track outcomes.
- Assist with the coordination of engineers’ daily workloads and schedules.
- Support Managers, Senior Maintenance Coordinators and Schedulers with allocating and prioritising jobs using company platforms.
- Ensure jobs are progressed efficiently and any issues or delays are identified and communicated promptly.
- Order materials and liaise with suppliers where required.
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide the best possible service to engineers, clients and customers.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure job information is kept up to date.
- Assist with resolving day-to-day maintenance issues and queries, using initiative where appropriate.
- Contribute to team meetings and discussions aimed at improving service delivery and strengthening client and supplier relationships.
- Carry out general administrative and office duties as required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a maintenance, property, facilities management or similar role is preferred.
- A good understanding of maintenance operations and the ability to understand the requirements of different types of jobs.
- A genuine interest in developing your knowledge and career within the property and maintenance sector.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence when dealing with clients, tenants, engineers and subcontractors.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and positive approach, with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
