Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plasma/Gas CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC plasma and gas cutting machines to produce precise metal components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication and mechanical processes to contribute to high-quality production in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC plasma and gas cutting machines according to technical specifications and production schedules
- Load raw materials such as sheet metal onto the machines, ensuring correct placement and securement
- Monitor machine operations during cutting processes to ensure accuracy and quality standards are maintained
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to execute precise cuts
- Utilise hand tools and tooling for minor repairs or adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to adhere to health and safety regulations
- Assist with assembly of fabricated components when required
- Document production data accurately for quality control purposes
Skills
- Previous experience operating plasma or gas cnc cutting machines
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation
- Familiarity with mechanical principles related to CNC machinery operation
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints with precision
- Good understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure consistent quality output
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
