Summary
We are seeking a Class 1 Low Loader Driver to join our dedicated team in <LOCATION>. This role is vital in supporting our environmental projects by transporting equipment and materials efficiently across various sites, ensuring smooth operations aligned with our company's mission.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 1 Low Loader safely and efficiently to transport equipment and materials, excavators and heavy plant equipment.
- Safely load and secure machinery in line with company and legal requirements.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, reporting any defects promptly.
- Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with site managers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate logs of transportation activities.
- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
- Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
- Proven experience operating low loader vehicles.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and health & safety standards.
- CPCS card or other industry-recognised safety training
- Excellent driving record.
- Flexibilty to work varying hours, including early starts and occasional weekends.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections.
- Good communication skills
- Physical fitness for handling loading tasks.
- Knowledge of environmental safety protocols is a plus.
- Knowledge of plant equipment and basic mechanical awareness
- Core hours: Monday - Friday 07:30 am - 5:30 pm: subject to operational requirements
