Position: Delivery Driver & Store Support
Hours: 9 am to 5 pm (5 days per week, over 6 on a rota basis)
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £25,250 pa plus company bonus

Main Purpose of the Role:
Ableworld UK is seeking an enthusiastic Delivery Driver and Store Support team member to deliver mobility products to customers’ homes in the Darlington and Stockton areas.
This role goes beyond standard delivery duties, requiring you to demonstrate mobility scooters, power chairs, and other equipment, as well as assist with installations in customers’ homes or care settings.
When not completing deliveries, you will support the Darlington and Stockton stores, helping customers find suitable products and assisting with daily store tasks. The role involves regular customer interaction, so strong customer service, organisation, and a friendly approach are essential. Assistance with loading and heavy items will be provided by store staff where required.
Duties will include assisting with:
· Serving customers in store
· Delivering products to customers' homes and Care/Nursing homes, etc
· Undertaking demonstrations and installations of mobility products
- Supporting sales targets, upselling opportunities, and store initiatives
· Promoting a high level of customer service in a polite and professional way
· Completing required paperwork and forms (on a phone and in-house till system) for stores and Head Office
· Taking payments using a card terminal or cash/cheque handling when necessary
· Transferring stock between stores
Skills and Experience – you will:
- Experience in retail, sales assistant, or delivery/demonstrator roles (preferred but not essential)
· Be someone with a mature, responsible outlook on life who enjoys engaging with people of all ages
· Be energetic and flexible in their approach to work, as this is a varied role
· Be a confident communicator with an enthusiastic and positive manner
· Have excellent customer service, organisational and problem-solving skills
· Be confident in using technology (phone and basic pc work) to complete the required customer forms
