Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure all electrical work is completed efficiently and to high standards. The position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with hands-on experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial premises
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan electrical layouts
- Diagnosing electrical issues and performing repairs or replacements as necessary
- Ensuring all work complies with current electrical codes and safety regulations
- Using hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs
- Collaborating with other construction or maintenance teams to coordinate tasks
- Conducting routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or faults
- Documenting work performed and preparing reports for clients or supervisors
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems in commercial environments
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for electrical work
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately
- Electrical qualification such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential

Pay: £18.00-£25.00 per hour
