Job Overview
We are seeking qualified and experienced electrical teams to carry out full and partial rewiring works across our domestic social housing contracts in the Stoke area. This is a pricework-based role suitable for established teams or individual subcontractors who take pride in their workmanship. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing safe, compliant electrical systems within occupied residential properties, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants and a high standard of finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full and partial domestic rewires in accordance with current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Install, connect, and terminate all associated electrical hardware and containment to a high professional standard.
- Ensure all installation works are tested, inspected, and certified correctly upon completion.
- Accurately complete all required electrical certification and associated compliance documentation using handheld devices or reporting software.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, adhering to all Health and Safety legislation.
- Liaise professionally and respectfully with tenants, site managers, and contract management teams at all times.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, prioritizing resident comfort and safety during installation.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- AM2 Qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- ECS/JIB Gold Card.
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 (Inspection and Testing).
- Proven experience carrying out full domestic rewires.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle/tools.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience working on social housing contracts.
- Knowledge of PDA/mobile reporting systems.
- Understanding of Awaab's Law and its implications for social housing providers.
