Salary: £23,638 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

You’ll work alongside experienced teachers and a dedicated wider team, providing the encouragement, structure and individual support pupils need to engage in learning and thrive.
Every day brings a new opportunity to make a difference. You might help a pupil overcome a challenge, build their confidence to try something new, or simply be the person who believes in them when they don’t yet believe in themselves.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils individually and in small groups to access learning
- Working closely with teachers to deliver engaging classroom activities
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive relationships
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and encouraging positive behaviours
- Creating a calm, inclusive and encouraging learning environment
- Taking part in activities across the wider school day
- Celebrating progress, however big or small
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need years of experience in education. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, resilience and passion to make a difference.
You could be an experienced Teaching Assistant, looking for a new challenge, or someone from another background who has the patience, empathy and enthusiasm to build meaningful relationships with young people.
You’ll be someone who is:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths – Grade C / 4 or above is required
- Compassionate and patient, with a calm approach
- Positive and resilient, even when things get challenging
- Creative and adaptable, able to think differently about how pupils learn
- A great team player, who enjoys learning from others
- Passionate about young people and committed to helping them succeed
About Us
Papworth Hall School is in the picturesque village in Cambridgeshire. It is within close proximity to Huntingdon and Cambridge. Our new specialist school caters for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs and has the capacity for 30 students.
For over 19 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.
