NHS Forth Valley seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the emergency medicine team. This post is a maternity leave cover and it is hoped that further substantive posts will be available subject to funding approval. The existing permanent medical staff team consists of 12 Consultants, 4 Emergency Medical Practitioners and 5 Specialty Doctors, providing senior care and leadership in Forth Valley’s Emergency Department.
It is expected that the successful applicant will have a high clinical profile with the drive and initiative to achieve and sustain the highest standards of emergency medical care. The new appointment will maintain the shop-floor presence of senior emergency physicians, enhancing consultant-delivered care and contributing to the supervision and shop-floor training of junior medical staff. Consultant support is also provided to a nurse-led Minor Injuries Unit at Stirling Community Hospital.

Applicants are required to have evidence of recent continued academic and professional development. Excellent, communication, listening and organisational skills are essential.
