Overview
To work as part of the HSE Team to ensure legal compliance and continuous improvement around the business, by putting in place and monitoring polices and standards; working with managers and employees, spreading best practise and developing consistency to drive a strong safety culture.
DETAILED ACCOUNTABILITIES
· To ensure legal compliance to EH&S Legislation
· To support all departments in HSE matters by giving appropriate advice and support when requested / required
· Create company standards e.g. PPE and Contractors, and monitor compliance
· Ensure Accident, Incidents and Near Misses are reported, investigated and provide analysis on these
· Create and update EHS processes and documentation
· Produce regular HSE communication include Tool Box Talks and Safety Alerts as required, monitoring delivery
· Apply proactive approach to Health and Safety, Environment
· Spread best practice and consistency across the group
· Work with the Production teams to overcome operational issues relating to HSE
· Monitor HSE legislation updates and put forward changes to company systems as required
· Monitor arrangements and oversee HSE training and Occupation Health visits
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Proven EHS experience within a manufacturing environment
· NEBOSH Qualified (Or equivalent)
· Strong understanding of HSE legislation
· Practical knowledge of key risk areas including temporary works, lifting operations, working at height, and work equipment (incl. LOTOTO)
· Strong organisational skills
· Ability to engage, influence, and drive a positive safety culture across all levels
· Positive, friendly, driven attitude with an outgoing personality
· Ability to communicate well with both shop floor and senior stakeholders alike
Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
