Leisure on Ice is returning to Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet to bring the festivities to the largest outlet shopping centre in the UK. Oaks on Ice is an open air ice rink situated at the outlet adjacent to an alpine themed Christmas Market, Ferris Wheel and more!
We are currently hiring for the following roles:
Ice Rink Assistants
Ice Marshals
Rink Supervisors
In all positions you’ll engage with our guests in a warm and personable manner ensuring that an amazing festive experience is delivered through impeccable customer service. Preference will be given to applicants who are passionate and enthusiastic.
Requirements
Candidates must be able to work at least 35 hours per week to include availability over weekends, be over the age of 18 and eligible to work in the UK.
To qualify as an Ice Marshal you will need to be a competent skater to assist guests with their safety and enjoyment.
Role
1. Guest Support & Safety
- Welcome visitors to the rink and provide guidance on skate hire, rink rules, and session timings.
- Assist skaters with fitting skates, entering/exiting the rink, and offering support to less confident skaters.
- Monitor skaters on the ice to ensure safe behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent accidents.
- Respond calmly and professionally to minor incidents and alert the Duty Manager or paramedic for emergencies.
2. Rink Operations
- Help with session turnarounds, including clearing the ice between groups.
- Support ice checks and maintenance tasks as directed by the Duty Manager or Ice Rink Manager.
- Assist with set-up and pack-down of equipment at the start and end of the day.
- Maintain skate hire area cleanliness and organisation.
3. Customer Experience
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and assisting with any concerns.
- Help create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all visitors.
- Support special events, themed sessions, or promotional activities as required.
4. Teamwork & Communication
- Take direction from Duty Managers and work effectively with the rink team.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or equipment issues promptly.
- Participate in pre-shift briefings and training sessions.
Desirable
- Experience in leisure or temporary or event-based attractions.

Hourly Rate: £8.00 - £13.50 per hour, dependent on age, experience & job role.
Pay: £8.00-£13.50 per hour
