We are looking to recruit a Grade A/B Serious Injury Solicitor to join our highly regarded Serious Injury team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional client care and achieving the best possible outcomes for individuals who have suffered life‑changing injuries.
You will work alongside experienced, market‑leading specialists on cases of significant value and complexity. The caseload includes serious brain and spinal injuries, amputations, and complex orthopaedic trauma. You will be involved in all aspects of case preparation, from attending client meetings and conferences to reviewing expert evidence and drafting key legal documents.

Responsibilities:
- Managing your own caseload of serious injury claims, including high‑value brain, spinal, amputation and complex orthopaedic injuries.
- Attending client meetings, conferences with counsel, expert appointments and court hearings, providing clear and confident legal guidance.
- Reviewing, analysing and challenging medical evidence, expert reports and rehabilitation documentation to build robust liability and quantum arguments.
- Drafting high‑quality witness statements, instructions to counsel, schedules of loss, pleadings and other key litigation documents.
- Leading on litigation tasks in accordance with CPR and pre‑action protocols, ensuring cases progress efficiently and strategically.
- Working closely with medical, forensic and technical experts to understand causation, prognosis and long‑term client needs.
- Negotiating interim payments, settlement proposals and costs to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Overseeing the smooth progression of complex, long‑running claims, ensuring proactive case management and exceptional client care throughout.
- Supporting junior team members where required and contributing to the wider development of the Serious Injury team.
About You:
- Experience handling complex personal injury claims, including litigated cases
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- Alternatively, experience with fast-track claims and the ambition to progress to more complex work
- Confident managing your own files with appropriate supervision.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A client-focused approach with strong attention to detail
