Job description
Spill Defence Manufacturing are a newly established manufacturer of sorbent products for control and prevention of liquid spillages. Predominantly specialising in the manufacture of socks, pillows, booms, and organic granules. We pride ourselves on our experienced team, who for over 30 years have been instrumental in the development and manufacture of sorbent products.
We operate production from two sites based in Rotherham and Worcestershire so we are able to cover the whole of the UK rapidly from our large stocks. Both sites operate with a high degree of autonomy so are less affected by supplier delays.
We have a bank of circular knitting machines and in-house printing machine allowing for customer own branding and any bespoke requirements. Products are tested in accordance with BS7959-1:2000. All our products are “sustainable”.
Our core fill is made from 100% recycled material which otherwise would go to land fill, reducing our carbon footprint along with our policy of using as many UK suppliers as possible.
We are the innovator of spill control and are always developing new products to increase our customer range.
Manufacturing Operative
Hours:
06:00 - 15:00
Covering Monday to Friday with Overtime available on weekends.
Leave: 20 Days per annum plus 8 public holidays.

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Manufacturing: 2 years (preferred)
- Machine Sewing (preferred but not essential)
- Forklift operator (preferred but not essential)
