About Pasha
Pasha Restaurant & Shisha Lounge is one of Bradford's leading restaurant, shisha and entertainment destinations.
Operating from a large and busy venue, we pride ourselves on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, presentation and customer service throughout the business.
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Back of House & Equipment Hygiene Operative to take responsibility for keeping our equipment and designated back-of-house preparation and cleaning areas exceptionally clean, organised and ready for service.
Although cleaning and maintaining shisha equipment is an important part of this position, this is a broader back-of-house hygiene and operational support role.
We need someone who takes pride in cleanliness, enjoys physical work and understands the importance of maintaining an organised working environment.
The Role
This is a hands-on and physically active position.
You will be responsible for the washing, deep cleaning, sanitising and preparation of reusable equipment, including shisha equipment, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the designated shisha kitchen and back-of-house working areas.
During busy periods, equipment will continuously return for cleaning and must be washed, checked and prepared efficiently so that it can be returned to service.
You will also assist with general back-of-house duties, cleaning, waste management, deliveries and moving stock or equipment when required.
This is not a position where you will be standing around waiting for work.
Pasha is a busy venue and we are looking for someone with the energy and work ethic to keep their area running smoothly throughout their shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Washing and thoroughly cleaning reusable equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining shisha equipment to a high standard

- Supporting stock rotation and organisation
- Assisting the wider team with general back-of-house duties
- Following cleaning schedules and management instructions
- Following all relevant hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
- Maintaining excellent personal hygiene
- Completing tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Making sure the work area is properly cleaned and organised at the end of each shift
More Than Just Cleaning Shishas
While shisha equipment hygiene forms an important part of this position, we are looking for someone who can become a reliable member of our back-of-house operational team.
Your responsibility is to make sure the areas under your control are always:
Clean. Organised. Safe. Stocked. Ready for service.
You should take ownership of your working area.
If you see something that needs cleaning, you shouldn't need to wait for a manager to tell you.
If equipment is out of place, organise it.
If cleaning supplies are running low, report it.
If something is damaged, tell management.
We want someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Physical Requirements
Please read this section carefully before applying.
This is a physically demanding role and applicants must be comfortable undertaking physical work throughout their shift.
The position can involve:
- Standing and walking for long periods
- Repetitive washing and cleaning
- Bending and reaching
- Carrying equipment
- Moving boxes and stock
- Lifting and handling items safely
- Working at a fast pace for extended periods
- Working in a busy back-of-house environment
Applicants must therefore have the physical capability to safely carry out the normal duties of the position, with reasonable adjustments considered where appropriate.
You must also be prepared to get involved and help the team when the business is particularly busy.
Communication Skills
Good spoken English is required for this position.
You must be able to communicate clearly with managers and other members of the team, understand verbal instructions and understand workplace procedures relating to cleaning, hygiene and Health & Safety.
Clear communication is particularly important within a busy hospitality environment where different departments are working together.
What We're Looking For
You don't necessarily need years of hospitality experience.
For us, attitude and work ethic are extremely important.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Hardworking
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically capable of carrying out an active role
- Energetic
- Organised
- Clean and hygienic
- Able to work quickly without sacrificing standards
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to work as part of a team

Previous shisha experience would be useful but is not essential, as training can be provided.
The Person
We're looking for someone with a simple attitude:
If a job needs doing, get it done properly.
You should be someone who notices when an area needs attention and deals with it rather than walking past it.
The right person will understand that cleanliness behind the scenes is just as important as what customers see at the front of the venue.
You will play an important role in helping the wider Pasha team deliver an efficient service.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position.
As Pasha operates within the restaurant, shisha and entertainment sector, applicants must be flexible regarding working hours.
The position will include evenings, weekends and late nights, particularly during busy periods and major sporting events.
Applicants should consider the nature of the role and working hours carefully before applying.
Salary & Benefits
