MB Fire & Security is a growing fire detection and security systems installation company. We're looking for an organised, proactive Office Manager to run the day-to-day administration of the business and keep our office, projects and people running smoothly. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on structure and problem-solving. Fire and security industry experience is not essential but desirable, with a willingness to learn about the industry as you go.
As Office Manager, you'll be the central point of contact for the office, supporting the director and team with everything from customer service and project paperwork to supplier coordination and general HR administration. You'll help shape how the office runs, so there's real scope to bring your own ideas and improve our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day office operations, procedures and administration
- Handle incoming customer calls and enquiries, including alarm call handling and general customer service
- Oversee project administration and paperwork, from job scheduling through to completion
- Coordinate with engineers, suppliers and clients to keep jobs on track
- Manage petty cash and support basic financial administration and invoicing
- Maintain company systems and records (e.g. CRM, job management software UPTICK)
- Support recruitment, onboarding and general HR administration
- Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly
- Oversee stores and materials administration, ordering and stock control
- Support the directors with general administrative and organisational tasks
- Help maintain compliance with health & safety and quality management procedures
About You:
- Good general education to secondary level
- Proven experience in an office management, administration or coordination role
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confident using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a polite telephone manner
- Ability to work under pressure and use your own initiative
- Comfortable working as part of a small, close-knit team
- Trustworthy, reliable, with good time-keeping and attendance
- Willing to work flexibly and support the wider team when needed
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to undergo security screening to industry standards

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
