The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist looking for your next challenge with a progressive and supportive architectural practice?
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK multidisciplinary architectural practice for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their Manchester studio.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional with excellent Revit, project-running and technical delivery experience, with projects spanning sectors including Education, Technology and Defence.
The Role
As Senior Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects, working closely with architects, consultants and wider multidisciplinary teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Running projects and taking responsibility for technical delivery.
- Producing high-quality technical drawings, details and construction information.
- Developing technical solutions from initial proposals through to delivery.
- Preparing and coordinating specifications.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
- Managing and integrating design and production information.
- Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, statutory and professional requirements.
- Leading small internal project teams.
- Managing your own workload and mentoring junior colleagues.
- Contributing to project programmes and financial performance.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Architectural Technologist with:
- A relevant Degree, HND or equivalent qualification.
- CIAT registration / MCIAT would be highly desirable.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience running projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent technical drawing, detailing and specification-writing skills.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction and Building Regulations.
- Excellent Revit skills.
- Working knowledge of NBS Chorus.
- Strong communication, organisation and team-working skills.
Experience within Education, Technology / Science & Technology or Defence would be particularly advantageous, although relevant experience across other complex sectors will also be considered.
