You'll be delivering practical and theory-based lessons to students studying Motor Vehicle qualifications, helping them develop the skills, confidence and technical knowledge needed to succeed within the automotive industry.
The Role - Lecturer – Motor Vehicle
As a Lecturer – Motor Vehicle, you will:
- Deliver engaging lessons across Motor Vehicle programmes from Level 1 to Level 3
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and learning materials
- Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Support learners to achieve their academic and practical goals
- Promote high standards of health and safety within the workshop
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the continued development of the department
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an outstanding learning experience
What We're Looking For - Lecturer – Motor Vehicle
The successful Lecturer – Motor Vehicle will have:
- A Level 3 qualification (or above) within the Automotive industry
- GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Recent, hands-on experience working with Light Motor Vehicles
- Strong practical knowledge of modern automotive systems and repair techniques
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
Desirable - Lecturer – Motor Vehicle
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience teaching or training apprentices or students
- Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills
- A genuine passion for developing the next generation of automotive professionals
