We are seeking a proactive and personable Weekend Market Trader / Driver to join our team. This role involves managing market stalls, engaging with customers, and ensuring the smooth transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a friendly demeanour. Fluency in both English is highly desirable to effectively serve our diverse customer base. Duties
- Set up and dismantle market stalls, ensuring all merchandise is attractively displayed and organised
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing product information and assistance
- Manage sales transactions accurately, including upselling products to maximise sales opportunities
- Transport goods to and from the market using designated vehicles, adhering to safety protocols and schedules
- Maintain stock levels through organised merchandising and inventory checks
- Assist in organising promotional events or special offers during market days
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the stall area before, during, and after trading hours
Qualifications
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Organisational skills for maintaining stock organisation and merchandising displays
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team during busy weekend periods
- Friendly etiquette for professional communication with clients
- Previous experience in retail, sales, or customer service is beneficial but not mandatory
