Job Opportunity: Clinic Lead (CQC Registered Manager)
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Clinic Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Stone practice. This pivotal role carries the statutory responsibility of acting as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring the clinic meets all regulatory and compliance standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a background in healthcare or dental practice management, committed to delivering exceptional patient care and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the dental clinic, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Supervise and support clinical and administrative staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Manage staff rotas, recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
- Oversee the patient journey from booking to treatment completion, ensuring a seamless and professional experience.
CQC Registered Manager Duties
- Act as the Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CQC regulations and ensure the practice meets all Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs).
- Lead on audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all policies, procedures, and risk assessments are current and effectively implemented.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure the practice complies with all legal, ethical, and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate records for health and safety, infection control, safeguarding, and data protection (GDPR).
- Manage clinical governance processes, including incident reporting and complaints handling.
Financial & Resource Management
- Monitor budgets, control costs, and contribute to financial planning.
- Oversee stock control, procurement, and equipment maintenance.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Eligibility and willingness to be registered with the CQC as a Registered Manager.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foster and maintain a positive working environment.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance, and health & safety standards.
Desirable:
- Qualification in Management.
- Dental knowledge
- Experience with dental software systems.
- First Aid, GDPR, and Safeguarding training.
