D&M Building Services is a growing, family-run construction company based in Long Eaton, delivering high-quality extensions, renovations, loft conversions, and property developments across the East Midlands.
We're expanding our team and looking for an experienced Builder with strong joinery skills to join us on a full-time PAYE basis. This is a senior role for a skilled tradesman who has loft conversions experience, can deliver first and second fix joinery, and contribute across the full build on extensions and renovations.
What you'll be doing:
- Loft conversions from structural strip-out to second fix completion, alongside our Construction Director
- First fix carpentry - floor joists, stud walls, roof carcassing, noggins, dormer construction
- Second fix - skirting, architrave, doors, staircases, kitchens, built-in joinery
- General building work across active sites - blockwork, groundworks support, and wider site trades as the job requires
- Setting quality standards and helping develop less experienced team members

What we're looking for:
- Minimum 10 years' construction experience with strong joinery capability
- Confident in first fix carpentry (joists, studwork, roof carcassing, dormers) and second fix (doors, skirting, staircases)
- Comfortable with general building work - blockwork, groundworks support, general site trades when needed
- CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, professional, and takes pride in quality work
