Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and food preparation, with a keen understanding of food safety standards and hospitality. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a positive work environment for all kitchen staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation.
- Supervise and lead kitchen staff, ensuring all team members are trained in proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Help create a positive atmosphere within the kitchen by fostering teamwork and communication.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
