Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
- Support the organisation and management of daily kitchen operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Supervise junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Contribute to menu planning and presentation of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment
- Assist in inventory management and stock control
- Serve food to customers in a professional manner when required
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, cooking, or a hospitality setting is required
- Demonstrated supervising or team management experience within a kitchen or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
- Experience in food preparation, culinary techniques, or restaurant service is advantageous
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
- Familiarity with hospitality operations, including serving customers and maintaining high standards of service
