We are a family friendly free-house situated in Alton, Staffordshire. We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef or Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a keen understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while managing kitchen operations efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance within established standards.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain equipment in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
- Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create diverse menus that cater to various dietary needs.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.
