Mackadown Day Care Services Ltd is a day service providing day care, Monday to Friday for adults who have a learning disability and complex health care needs such as Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. Most of our clients are wheelchair users and a degree of physical fitness will be required due to the nature of the role.
Whilst bus guide experience is beneficial, training will be provided for the successful candidate during the probation period. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 7:30am-9:30am and 3pm-5pm
- To support Senior management and the Deputy Manager in the day-to-day delivery of the Day Care service
- Work closely with your dedicated Minibus Driver to collect each client from home and drop off of to the Day Centre and vice versa in the afternoon.
- Meet and greet Parents/Carers and Clients when on transport.
- Report to a member of the Management team any concerns or observation of practices that may be detrimental to the wellbeing of others (staff and Clients)
- Emergency First Aid where indicated (training will be provided)
- Ensure that our Clients have a positive and happy experience when being transported to and from our Day Centre.
- Ensure Health & Safety legislation is always adhered to, ensuring your own safety and that of others.
- Comply fully with Day Centre policies and ensure adherence to the Quality Assurance system
- Participate in regular staff supervision sessions with management.
- Work independently and as part of a team, using your own initiative at all times
- Escalate concerns to management regarding clients behaviour, seizure activity, injuries or other medical emergencies that may have been observed during transport
- Completion of all necessary documentation relating to our Clients where appropriate
- Participate in planned training events (mandatory and non-mandatory) and staff meetings
