Gymnastics Coach (Level 2) — evenings, Llansamlet, Swansea
£15 - £18 per hour | Part-time | After-school classes, typically 4pm–8pm.
Taiso Academy of Gymnastics CIC is a purpose-built independent club in Llansamlet. We have 390+ young members, small groups of up to 8 gymnasts, and a busy after-school programme. We are hiring a reliable Level 2 coach to deliver high-quality recreational classes in a professional, supportive gym.
This is coaching, not crowd control. You will work with the same small groups each week, help children progress from first cartwheels through to more advanced skills, and be part of a close coaching team.
The role
- Deliver engaging, progressive recreational gymnastics sessions
- Coach groups of up to 8 children of mixed ages and abilities
- Use safe and hands-on support so gymnasts can learn new skills with confidence
- Set up and pack away apparatus (bars, beam, trampettes and mats)
- Keep sessions fun, structured and safe, with clear progress for every child
- Work with other coaches, and uphold our safeguarding standards
Hours
Part-time, weekday evenings, typically 4pm–8pm. Exact days will be agreed around the class timetable and your availability. Extra hours may be available as the club grows.
What you will need
- British Gymnastics Level 2 coaching qualification, or equivalent coaching experience
- Experience coaching children in a club or similar setting
- Confidence supporting gymnasts
- Availability on weekday evenings
- Understanding of safeguarding, and willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check (we will arrange this)
It will help if you also have
- A current DBS and safeguarding certificate
- First aid training
- Experience with recreational award schemes or mixed-ability groups
