Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday
Salary: Up to £42,500 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

At Miller House School, we're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join our supportive team. You'll work with children and young people with Autism, learning difficulties and complex needs, helping them develop not only their mathematical skills but also the confidence, resilience and independence they need to succeed in life.
This is far more than a teaching role. With smaller class sizes, personalised learning and the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll have the time and flexibility to deliver creative, engaging lessons that are tailored to every pupil's individual needs.

What You'll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their individual potential.
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with Autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.
- Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, using assessment to inform personalised learning.
- Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe, motivated and ready to learn.
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence, problem-solving skills and a positive attitude towards learning.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding support.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Maths curriculum and whole-school improvement.
- Teach across other curriculum areas or support off-site learning opportunities where appropriate.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a degree in Mathematics with a recognised teaching qualification.
- Is passionate about inspiring children and young people to achieve their full potential.
- Has experience teaching pupils with Autism, SEND or complex needs, or is keen to develop within specialist education.
- Delivers creative, engaging lessons that make learning accessible and enjoyable.
- Is an excellent communicator who enjoys working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
- Is adaptable, resilient and committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for every pupil.
- Holds a Full UK Driving Licence.
About Us
Miller House School is a brand-new school located in Stoneygate, Leicester. The school opened in September 2025, has a capacity of 80 pupils, and offers a co-educational provision for students with complex needs, including SEMH.
Miller House School is a specialist SEMH setting for young people aged 11–16. We are committed to supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, as well as autism and ADHD. Our safe and nurturing environment ensures every child is heard, seen, and supported to thrive.
