Maki & Ramen Birmingham is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the team at our exciting new site. You’ll play an essential role in keeping our kitchen clean,organised and running smoothly,working closely with our chefs and wider restaurant team.
Key responsibilities:

Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen,washing-up areas and back-of-house spaces.

Wash and sanitise dishes,utensils,cookware and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout service.

Ensure chefs and kitchen stations have clean equipment and utensils available when required.

Keep floors,work surfaces,storage areas and kitchen equipment clean and organised.

Empty bins and manage waste and recycling in line with company procedures.

Assist with deliveries,including receiving,unpacking and correctly storing stock.

Support basic food preparation tasks when required and appropriately trained.

Follow all food hygiene,health & safety and cleaning procedures.

Complete kitchen opening and closing cleaning duties.

Work closely with the kitchen team during busy services to help ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
-
Previous Kitchen Porter,kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential,as full training will be provided.

Comfortable working in a busy,fast-paced kitchen environment.

Strong attention to cleanliness,hygiene and organisation.

Reliable,punctual and hardworking.

Able to work effectively as part of a team.

Willingness to learn and support the wider kitchen team.

Flexible availability,including evenings and weekends.

A positive attitude and a willingness to get stuck in.
