Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting the dental team, and managing front desk responsibilities. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable during their visit
- Assist the dental team with chairside support during procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling efficiently
- Handle patient records accurately using Dentally IT systems
- Provide clear information to patients regarding treatments and post-care instructions
- Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and manage correspondence professionally
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area at all times
- Support administrative tasks such as billing, invoicing, and processing payments
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and health regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong patient care skills with a friendly and empathetic manner
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with patients and team members
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and appointment systems
- Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and colleagues
- Knowledge of nursing principles is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
