At Kelvin Power, part of the global VINCI Energies group, we're looking for an experienced Senior Civil Revit Technician to join our team in Leicester.
With a growing portfolio of projects and an increasing workload, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to play a key role in delivering civil and structural design solutions for major energy and infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland.
You'll join a multidisciplinary team of experienced engineers and technicians, working collaboratively to produce high-quality models and drawings while helping to drive technical standards and best practice across our projects.
As Senior Civil Revit Technician, you'll take responsibility for producing and developing detailed civil and structural models and drawings, working closely with engineers and other disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
Creating and developing detailed civil and structural Revit models and drawings.
Producing accurate technical drawings in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
Working collaboratively with Civil, Structural and other engineering disciplines to coordinate designs.
Reviewing project models, drawings and files to ensure compliance with relevant standards, procedures and CAD/BIM protocols.
Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of Revit, CAD and BIM best practice.
Ensuring models and drawings are delivered accurately and within agreed project timescales.
Identifying and resolving design and coordination issues.
Managing your own workload across multiple projects and competing deadlines.
Providing technical input and sharing knowledge and best practice with colleagues across the team.
Supporting the continued development of our civil and structural design capability.
We're looking for an experienced technician with strong Revit and AutoCAD capability who can work confidently and independently within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Ideally, you'll have:
A minimum of 10 years' experience using AutoCAD and Revit.
Significant experience producing civil and structural models and technical drawings.
Experience delivering infrastructure projects to challenging deadlines.
Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards and the ability to translate engineering requirements into accurate models and drawings.
A good understanding of CAD/BIM standards, processes and protocols.
The ability to work effectively on your own initiative and manage competing priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
An HND, degree or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience within the energy, power transmission, substations or other major infrastructure sectors would be particularly advantageous.
