An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the award-winning restaurant at Langley Castle.
We are seeking a passionate culinary leader with proven experience in a two AA Rosette, or equivalent fine dining environment, who can maintain and enhance our reputation for excellence.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, or Senior Sous Chef ready for promotion, within a two AA Rosette or comparable fine dining operation
- Professional culinary qualification, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent
- Demonstrable success in delivering and maintaining two AA Rosette standards
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing food costs, labour costs, GP, and budgets
- Excellent leadership, training, and people management skills
- Sound knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, food safety legislation, and Health and Safety compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen brigade
- Deliver exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Create seasonal menus using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and exciting daily specials for fine dining
- Recruit, develop, and lead a team of exceptional performers
- Manage kitchen operations, stock control, purchasing, and supplier relationships
- Control food costs, labour costs, and kitchen budgets
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and Health and Safety regulations
