Job Summary
We are seeking a confident and experienced Line Chef to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations, food preparation, and team leadership. You will play a vital role in supporting the Assistant Manager with daily operations, staff performance, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Assistant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
- Lead, supervise, and train staff in food preparation, cooking standards, and service procedures
- Ensure full compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Manage stock control, including ordering, stock rotation, and inventory monitoring
- Drive a positive, high-performance team culture through strong leadership and communication
- Handle customer feedback, enquiries, and complaints professionally and efficiently
- Assist in implementing strategies to improve service quality, sales performance, and operational efficiency
- Support with staff scheduling, shift planning, and rota management to ensure peak-time coverage
- Monitor service standards during busy periods and step in operationally when needed
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food prep, and food production techniques
- Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance procedures
- Confident leader with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a diverse team
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong customer service skills with a guest-first mindset
- Previous kitchen experience is highly desirable
- Barista or beverage experience is an advantage
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
