Chef / School Cook

8am-8pm Thursday and Friday
Every other Saturday 7-1 3-6 (9 hours)
The British Racing School is seeking a Chef / School Cook to join our small and friendly catering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual who takes pride in preparing quality meals in a fast paced environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation and service of daily meals and snacks for students and lunches for staff
- Occasional hospitality catering as required by the school
- Completion of daily food preparation lists and due diligence documentation
- Ensuring the kitchen is cleaned, closed, and maintained to a high standard
- Adhering to all food safety, health and safety, and allergen awareness regulations
- Working effectively both independently and as part of a small team
- You will be supported by catering assistants to assist with basic food preperation, service and cleaning duties
Hours of Work:
- 8am-8pm Thursday and Friday
- Every other Saturday 7-1 & 3-6 (9 hours)
- Bank holidays may be required if they fall within your shift pattern, with additional leave provided in recompense
Salary:
- Circa £21,370 per annum depending on experience
Requirements:
- Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Allergen Awareness certificates (training can be provided before commencement if required)
- Ability to follow established menu cycles and maintain consistent quality standards
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
