Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Responsibilities
- Support clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Help clients adhere to their individual care plans, ensuring their needs are met safely and respectfully
- Monitor and record clients’ health status, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems where necessary
- Assist with light domestic duties to ensure a clean and safe living environment
- Support clients with medication reminders in accordance with care plans
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and their families to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving community visits or home care services
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate records and following digital care plans
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a caring environment
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
Pay: From £24,420.00 per year
