Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across various projects. Duties
- Develop and optimise HVAC system designs using CAD and SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis on system failures or inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions to enhance performance.
- utilise simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW for system modelling, testing, and validation purposes.
- Design control systems employing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and integrate them with existing infrastructure for automation purposes.
- Create detailed schematics and technical drawings adhering to GD&T standards for manufacturing and installation processes.
- Perform system troubleshooting using schematic diagrams and diagnostic tools to identify issues promptly.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support system design, testing, optimisation, and documentation activities.
- Ensure all engineering activities meet safety regulations and quality standards through comprehensive analysis and review.
Experience
- Proven experience in HVAC system design or related engineering fields is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and general schematic creation.
- Familiarity with control systems programming including PLCs, LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Simulink is highly desirable.
- Experience with GD&T principles, system design methodologies, and the utilisation of schematics for troubleshooting is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis effectively within complex technical environments.
- Prior exposure to industrial automation or mechanical systems integration will be considered a plus.
