Are you an organised and proactive HR professional looking for a varied role where you can make a real difference?
The School of Geography and the Environment is seeking a Human Resources Officer to join our friendly and collaborative HR team. Supporting the full employee lifecycle, you will play an important role in delivering a high-quality HR service to managers and staff, contributing to an excellent employee experience from recruitment and onboarding through to ongoing employment.
This is a varied position that offers the opportunity to develop your expertise across a broad range of HR activities, focusing on employee lifecycle administration, immigration processes and HR compliance. Working closely with colleagues across the School, you will provide practical advice, build positive relationships and help ensure HR processes are delivered efficiently and accurately.
We're looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment. Previous HR experience and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service are essential. This could be an excellent secondment opportunity for someone currently working within the University.
This role is offered on a fixed term, hybrid working basis, with an expectation that the successful candidate will work on-site for a minimum of three days each week (Tuesday is our anchor day and we are all onsite) to support collaboration and service delivery.

This post is fixed term until 31 December 2027 and offered on a full-time basis (1 FTE / 36.5 hours).
