Join our dedicated team at Wythenshawe Hospital as a Mechanical Fitter, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing essential mechanical systems within a busy healthcare environment. We are seeking a skilled professional with experience in heating, chilled, ventilation, and BMS systems, who is committed to safety, quality, and technical excellence. What You’ll Do:

Responsible for responding to and correctly filling out issued dockets for day to day tasks

Strong understanding of Heating, Chilled Systems, Ventilation, and BMS Systems within a healthcare environment

Skilled in installation, repair, fault finding, and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building energy management systems

Ability to work safely in compliance with health and safety regulations, including working at heights and using relevant tools and equipment

Capable of working independently, including on call duties and driving the company vehicle as required

Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and commitment to health and safety standards

Proven ability to respond promptly to breakdowns and participate in scheduled response systems
What You Bring:
-
NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering and Building Services

Willing to learn and go on courses to add to current qualifications
-
Experience in healthcare or large, complex sites is an advantage, but not essential.

Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance or fitter role
-
Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation and mechanical systems
-
Confidence diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
-
A good working knowledge of health and safety regulations
-
A practical, reliable approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
