We are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor with a civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure background to supervise day-to-day construction activities on district heating infrastructure projects in Enfield, North London.
This is a civil engineering and utilities infrastructure role, rather than a traditional building construction position.
The works involve the installation of district heating pipework within highways and public spaces, with the Site Supervisor responsible for coordinating site activities around traffic management, pedestrian interfaces, existing services and other highway constraints.
You will supervise subcontractors and site operatives, monitor progress against the construction programme, coordinate plant and materials, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Direct and supervise the day-to-day activities of civil engineering and utilities subcontractors and site operatives.
Supervise the installation of pipework and associated infrastructure within highways and public environments.
Monitor construction programmes and ensure works are delivered to programme.
Coordinate works around traffic management arrangements and pedestrian routes.
Ensure safe access is maintained for pedestrians, residents and other road users.
Coordinate site activities around existing underground utilities and services.
Coordinate and order required plant, materials and equipment.
Ensure project plans, risk assessments, method statements and site waste management plans are implemented correctly.
Maintain accurate site diaries, records and attendance information.
Carry out regular quality inspections with subcontractors.
Ensure materials are requisitioned in sufficient time to meet programme requirements.
Schedule, control and monitor plant and materials.
Regularly inspect the site to identify and address potential safety hazards.
Recommend improvements to construction processes and working practices where appropriate.
Maintain accurate records of site activities and workforce attendance.
Work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, Engineers, Client and subcontractors.
Support the successful delivery and handover of the project.
The Site Supervisor will play an important role in maintaining safe working conditions within live highway and public environments.
