Responsibilities
- Assist staff in preparing detailed cost estimates for electrical and mechanical systems based on project drawings and specifications
- Gather and analyse pricing information from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate budgeting
- Support the review of project scopes to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks
- Contribute to the preparation of bid proposals by compiling necessary documentation and supporting materials
- Help maintain organised records of all estimation documents, supplier quotes, and project data
- Participate in site visits or meetings as needed to better understand project requirements and scope
- Develop foundational knowledge of cost control techniques to support project profitability
Requirements
- Experience with electrical and mechanical installations preferred but not essential
- Strong interest in construction estimation, cost control, and engineering processes
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and suppliers
- Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is preferred
- Eagerness to learn new skills and develop a comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical estimating processes
Pay: £26,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
