We are looking for committed IGRT & IT Specialist Therapy Radiographer with experience to join our friendly, enthusiastic team. We have a fully networked Varian Aria/Eclipse Planning System. We are active participants in Radiotherapy Trials.
We are a Varian Department with two True Beams and Two Halcyon Linacs with CT, Gulmay and Brachytherapy Units, all run through Aria, so a working knowledge of Aria is desirable. The Department is paperless, and we provide an on-call service at weekends.
The department delivers IMRT/VMAT, Rapid Arc, IGRT, IGBT, 4DCT, and Deep Inspiration Breath Hold techniques. We have a radiographer led Brachytherapy service, and have a Hydrogel service for prostate patients. We have access to PET/CT and MRI for treatment planning. Mould room and Planning services are radiographer led. We deliver Lung, Oligometastatic disease, Spine, Lymph nodes and Adrenal SABR. We are developing a Liver SABR service to commence within the next six to nine months. The department is committed to the training and development of its staff.
The successful candidate will show commitment to a career in Radiotherapy and be able to demonstrate a relevant pro-active grasp of recent technological and IT advances.

The candidate has expertise to be able to function at the forefront of professional practice. Detailed application of knowledge and understanding of how research informs practice. Be able to work closely with the whole clinical team to ensure excellent treatment for all patients. With the Clinical Oncology Consultants will develop skills and expertise to allow expansion of the AP role to improve patient care. To be included in all treatment modalities relevant to your scope of practice. To ensure IT developments in the department are consistent with best practice and integrated. Meet all the requirements of GDPR and Trust policies. Ensure IT structures support all new technique developments. To be able problem solve complex issues. They must demonstrate sound judgement, personal responsibility and innovation. To work with the Clinical Trials Team in the delivery of radiotherapy trials. Ensure that radiotherapy has relevant imaging protocols in place. That imaging is a part of all new developments. That regular training and audit of current practice is undertaken and results are disseminated. Participate in any RCA of imaging errors and work to disseminate learning. They should work to agreed timelines in a collaborative manner within the multidisciplinary team. All therapy radiographers are required to assess and treat patients following occupational policies. Each radiographer works with autonomously and works as part of a team to deliver treatment to patients each day.
