Are you an ambitious salesperson looking to take the next step in your career? As a Trainee Energy Consultant, you'll build on your existing sales experience while learning a new industry through our structured development programme, with clear career progression and uncapped earning potential.
From day one, you'll receive hands-on training and mentoring while learning how to identify new business opportunities, build lasting relationships with commercial clients and deliver tailored energy solutions.
You'll begin by developing your lead generation and prospecting skills before progressing to preparing quotations, negotiating contracts, managing your own portfolio of clients and providing a complete end-to-end account management service as you achieve key development milestones.
With ongoing coaching, regular feedback and a clear progression pathway, you'll have all the support you need to develop into a successful Energy Consultant.
Starting Salary: £25,000 plus uncapped commission
Development Review (approximately six months): Subject to successful progress and achievement of performance milestones, salary increases to £30,000 and responsibilities expand.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound calling.
- Build rapport with prospective clients and identify their business needs.
- Learn and use our CRM system to effectively manage customer relationships.
- Develop knowledge of the commercial energy market and our services.
- Participate in structured sales, product and industry training.
- Prepare and present bespoke energy quotations.
- Negotiate pricing and secure new business.
- Deliver end-to-end energy solutions for commercial clients.
- Manage and develop your own customer portfolio.
- Work towards individual revenue and performance targets.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional services where appropriate.
What We're Looking For:
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the energy sector
- Experience within a sales role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in speaking to potential clients and building rapport.
- Basic IT competency, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- Strong work ethic, resilience, and a proactive attitude.
- No prior industry experience required – full training provided.
- A positive, target-driven mindset with a desire to succeed.
