We are looking for a confident, organised, and customer‑focused Showroom Assistant to join our team. This role suits someone who enjoys meeting people, has a strong eye for colours and fabrics, and takes pride in keeping a workspace welcoming and well-presented.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer greeting — Meet and welcome customers, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression.
- Supplier Liaison and ordering.
- Confidential handling — Maintain strict confidentiality regarding customer information and bespoke work.
- Colour & fabric selection — Ascertain customers’ requirements and taking comprehensive notes for handover. Also, assisting customers with choosing fabrics and colours.
- Showroom upkeep — Keep the showroom clean, tidy, and visually appealing at all times.
- Workroom deliveries — Deliver and collect work from the workroom using a personal car with insurance that covers use for work.
- Site attendance — Attend customer sites occasionally to support fittings.
- Pricing & booking — Price up items, book in goods, and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
- Sample management — Order, log, and organise fabric and product samples.
- Order handling — Take customer orders, place supplier orders, and process all associated paperwork.
- Fittings – scheduling fitting days and liaising with clients and our fitters to ensure the schedule is complete and everything is ready.
- Payment processing — Take payments securely and accurately.
- Window display support — Assist with creating and maintaining showroom window displays.
- Invoice processing — Process invoices and maintain accurate records.
- Cashing up — Complete end‑of‑day cashing‑up duties with accuracy and accountability.
- Social Media – Contributing by suggesting ideas and text and imagery for social media.
- Checking stationery and fitting stock – Ensuring that we have enough of everything.
