Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with foot, ankle, and lower limb complaints.
- Develop personalised treatment plans based on clinical findings, including manual therapy, orthotic prescription, and rehabilitation programmes.
- Provide expert advice on footwear, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications to optimise patient outcomes.
- Perform minor procedures such as wound management, nail surgery, and injections where appropriate.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, orthopaedic specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
- Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of advancements in musculoskeletal podiatry.
Qualifications
- Qualified Podiatrist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Proven experience in MSK podiatry or a related specialised field is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to diverse patient groups.
- Fluency in English is essential for effective consultation and documentation.
- Competent IT skills for managing electronic health records and clinical documentation.
- Experience or interest in teaching or mentoring junior staff or students is advantageous.
