Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator and play a vital role in producing high-quality precision components. You will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to ensure efficient production processes while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Develop and modify CNC programs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks and other programming tools to create precise machining instructions.
- Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to specifications.
- Operate CNC milling, grinding, and other machining equipment to produce parts with tight tolerances.
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools, measuring devices, and basic math skills to verify accuracy.
- Adjust machine parameters as needed during production runs to optimize performance and quality.
- Conduct maintenance on CNC machinery, including tool changes and troubleshooting mechanical issues related to plastics injection molding and other processes.
- Support assembly processes by ensuring machined components meet design specifications for welding, plastics molding, or other finishing operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC programming, setting, and operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and tooling setups.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programs for designing or modifying parts.
- Familiarity with milling machines, grinding equipment, and plastics injection molding processes.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and assembly procedures is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and continuous improvement.
