The role of a Territory Manager
No two days are exactly the same. You’ll start your week by reviewing your assigned territory
and planning your travel across South West London to build strong relationships with dental
practices.
Throughout the day, you’re on the move, meeting with dental specialists, answering their
questions, and addressing product updates. You will be conducting product presentations and
demonstrations to ensure clinicians have the high quality products and knowledge their
patients depend on. As the day picks up, you’re balancing multiple priorities—proactively
discovering new sales opportunities through consumer research, presenting products and
services to prospective customers, and setting and meeting sales targets to increase revenue.
When a customer has a concern or a complex requirement, you take ownership. You will
communicate clearly, provide practical solutions, and offer hands-on support—including surgery
supervision—making sure the customer feels supported every step of the way.
Across the week, you’re working closely with your Manager to submit regular reports and
assess sales performance, while also coordinating with internal colleagues in Customer Services
and Logistics to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. It’s a fast paced,
relationship driven, and detail focused role, but it’s also deeply rewarding, knowing that your
presence and expertise help clinicians deliver seamless care.
Key Responsibilities
● Relationship Management: Maintain and cultivate strong customer relationships with
dental practices across the assigned territory.
● Sales Growth: Meet sales targets to actively increase regional revenue.
● Territory Strategy: Carry out effective territory sales and marketing strategies, and analyze
data to find the most efficient sales methods.
● Clinical Support: Meet with customers to address product updates, conduct
demonstrations, provide surgery supervision, and resolve client concerns.
● Business Development: Discover new sales opportunities through consumer research and
present products and services to prospective customers.
● Event Participation: Participate in industry or promotional events (e.g., trade shows,
training courses) to cultivate customer relationships.
● Training: Deliver training in sales techniques and company product attributes.
● Reporting & Evaluation: Assess sales performance, monitor competition within the
assigned territory, and prepare and submit reports to your Manager.
About you!
We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in getting things right for customers,
thrives in a busy, target driven environment, and brings a strong sense of ownership and
reliability to everything they do.
You will be able to demonstrate:
● Sales Excellence: Proven experience in a fast paced territory sales, account management,
or business development role.
● High Attention to Detail: Ability to analyze territory data, monitor competition, and
accurately track sales performance indicators.
● Strong Communication: Confidence handling direct customer queries, conducting
professional product presentations, and delivering sales training.
● Prioritisation Skills: The ability to juggle multiple practice accounts, meetings, and
lead-generation tasks without dropping the ball in a deadline driven environment.
● Problem Solving Skills: A proactive mindset, able to figure things out, handle clinical
queries on site, and resolve customer issues independently.
● Systems & Mobility: Comfort using CRM/order systems, Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs,
Sheets) or Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel), alongside a willingness to travel regularly
across South West London.
We’re not hiring someone just to respond to queries; we are hiring someone our dental
partners can rely on to grow their practices!
